French Banking Federation’s mission

The French Banking Federation (FBF) is the professional body that represents all banks operating in France.

The FBF's mission is to promote the banking and financial industry at the French, European and international levels. It defines the profession's positions and proposals with respect to public authorities and economic/financial authorities.

121 permanent employees work at FBF and AFB, in conjunction with more than 400 bankers who take part in commissions and committees. These bodies meet regularly to formulate positions and to launch initiatives.

Decision-making relies on preparatory work by experts from the FBF and technical committees or 80 ad hoc working groups. 2,500 working meetings are held every year.

Discussions with members are also central to the work carried out by the FBF.
