The French Banking Federation inaugurates an office in Frankfurt

The French Banking Federation inaugurated its office today in Frankfurt, in the presence of Frédéric Oudea and Marie-Anne Barbat-Layani, respectively Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the FBF.

Expressing the opinion of the banking profession in European and international decision making centres is one of the priority missions of the French Banking Federation under its 2015-2017 strategic plan.

Frankfurt has become a new banking capital with the headquarters of the ECB and supervisory institutions in place as part of the Banking Union. The largest Euro-zone banks are directly supervised from Frankfurt, including 10 French entities.

Marie-Anne Barbat-Layani, chief executive officer of the FBF states: "Thirteen years after opening its office in Brussels, the French Banking Federation is adapting to the new geography of the European regulatory agenda. We are now also present in Frankfurt alongside the European Banking Federation and the German, Italian and Irish Federations."
